Statement of the Problem
Despite the presence of internal auditing functions in Lokoja Local Government Area, financial mismanagement remains a persistent issue. Factors such as inadequate internal controls, weak financial reporting, and limited resources hinder the effectiveness of auditing. This results in instances of fraud, misappropriation of funds, and poor financial decision-making.
